Alexandria, LA – Formerly known as The Central Louisiana Economic Development Alliance (CLEDA), Louisiana Central’s refreshed brand and economic focus was launched on Friday, initiating a new approach to creating economic vitality and opportunity for the organization and region.
“This new brand strategy gives us a point to rally for change. Along with our partners, we want to engage every parish and municipality throughout the region in open conversations of purpose, intent, and an authentic trajectory of success!” said, Larkin Simpson, Executive Vice President.
Prior to the announcement, Central Louisiana confirmed their latest economic win with a $40 million investment securing 40 new jobs through Crest Industries near Rapides Parish at the Central Louisiana Regional Port. Avant Organics will support efforts in manufacturing sustainable products including food and medicinal flavors, fragrances, and more.
The news of the rebrand and addition of Avant Organics reiterates the organization’s focus, transforming thirty years of net population loss. Efforts to recruit and develop opportunities will be further supported through Blue Sky initiatives, ultimately benefitting the region’s businesses and worker population. Providing seamless options in education and securing job opportunities will serve as one of the pillars that drives success in a new direction.
“The rebranding is our planting a flag and claiming our willingness to do things differently and achieve greater results,” says Bahia Nightengale, Executive Director for Farm and Food.
